Rambling
We're going on vacation to Holden Beach, NC on Saturday. It's the largest of the three South Brunswick Islands. It's about 45 minutes from Wilmington. There's really not much to do there, which is what I'm looking forward to. No work, no plans, just sand, sun, ocean, and a good book.

We'll have to leave Buddy with Eric's parents for the week, but he loves it there, with the other two dogs. And Eric's dad has cut down on his smoking in the house, so I don't have to worry about that around Buddy. Eric's mom had a mild heart attack a couple of weeks ago, and spent a couple of days in the hospital, but she's doing ok now. She should be back at work soon. My mom and dad will come over to our house every other day to give Pwca food and water, and I'm sure he'll love having the house all to himself without Buddy stealing his toy mice and chasing him around.

We got a new girl at work, so now we have four receptionists, couting me. She seems like she fits right in - today was her first day, and she was already answering the phone. She wants to start checking in patients tomorrow. I was worried a week to train her wouldn't be enough, since I'm leaving for North Carolina on Saturday, but I don't think it will be a problem.

I'm really ready for this vacation. It seems like I've been exhausted for the past couple of weeks. I sleep till 11:00am on weekends, and when I get up, I feel even more tired than when I went to bed. Eric's been working until 10:00 at night for the past week, so he's even worse off than I am. A week of vacation just isn't enough. A month would be more like it.

We'll really get to test out the new car - we're driving the whole way there. If we make it through the West Virginia turnpike without Eric freaking out too much on the mountains, we'll be ok. I just hope for no traffic jams.

New car!
I just got a new car!  It's a 2006 Toyota Corolla, silver, and it's so much nicer than my old Hyundai Accent!  It's faster (it can actually keep up with traffic), and it's a lot safer than the little Hyundai.  Yay!

No more voice prompts!
I just found a great website. You know how annoying it is when you call a company, and you have to spend 10 minutes going through number or voice prompts, and you still don't end up getting the help you need? Well, there's a website called http://www.gethuman.com, and it has cheats to get connected directly to a human without wasting your time. Their categories are credit, finance, government, hardware, insurance, internet, mobile, pharmacy, products, shipping, software, stores, telco, travel, tv/satellite, and utilities.

If you go to the Tips page on the site, they also list a free 411 site/number -
http://www.free411.com. It's directory lookup for phone numbers, and you have to listen to an advertisement while you're waiting for the results if you call the phone number (1-800-free-411), but it's totally free, and if you look up a number on the website, there are no ads.

Anyway, there are my tips for the day.
Sleep
Ok, I've been online for about 12 hours now, putting this website and blog together - time for bed. G'nite ya'll!

Mooch
From MoochRock.com:
Mooch is one of the most original and creative bands on the music scene today. Their compositions are a blend of funk, rock, and soulful pop; coming together to create a style entirely all their own. Hailing from Rochester, New York and lead by singer/songwriter Mike Filer, the band is quickly turning heads with catchy lyrics and a powerful energy level that gets everyone dancing.
This Mike Filer is my cousin - we lost touch for a couple of years, but my younger brother recently found his web site, and introduced me to the band's awesome talent. I highly recommend you download the songs they have up on the main site, and their MySpace page. (You can find it on the links page of the main site.)

Support the band - go see them if you're in the area, and keep an eye out for their album!
Finally.
Looks like everything is just the way I want it. No more fiddling with the colors, layout, etc.

I just discovered
Audioblogger! Check out "Welcome" over on the right side navigation column.

Ok, on to the blogging. My name is Erin. I have a husband, a dog, and a cat. This is the dog, Buddy (and me), and the other pic is the cat, Pwca. I'm a pagan, but not an active one. Meaning, I don't belong to any circles, I don't do rituals - for now, I just believe, and that's enough. I do listen to a pagan podcast, Pagan Living, and I'm a member of it's Yahoo Group, but that's it. I don't really have a path, but I'm drawn toward Celtic mythology. If anyone wants talk about paganism in general, or anything else, leave me a comment, and I'll get an email alert.
Next.
Ok, test number two. Looks ok, huh?
Well, here it is...
My first blog post. Just pretty much testing it out. Welcome to the site. :)
